Makeup products come and go - it's an inevitable fact. Although makeup lines have core product lines they also have seasonal collections and limited edition items that disappear pretty quickly if you don't scoop them up while you can. I never get too upset about losing out on limited edition/ seasonal makeup pieces because I know how that whole show runs and if I didn't pick it up while it was available then that's just my loss. Core products in makeup lines change sometimes too. Products become outdated and formulas are changed over time. Deep down I know most makeup products won't be around forever although there are quite a few brands with products that have really stood the test of time. Never the less I feel like I was blindsided when Sephora Collection discontinued my favorite contour color.

This year has already been off to a pretty good start so far. I've kept up with my new year's resolutions for a whole 17 days so far and overall life really seems to be on the up and up. I'm still trying to push myself a bit and get more done but so far so good. The other day was another step in the right direction. I've been keeping up with my goal to get out more and be more social by going to The Murder Mystery Company's interactive "Midnight Masquerade" dinner theater with my best friend, Megan. I'm not even going to act like this is something I would normally attend because I barely do anything in public let alone something that forces me to interact with strangers but, it pushed me out of my element in the silliest way and we ended up having a great time.

Just like the rest of the world I'm more than happy 2016 is over. I  so excited to start anew with a list of new goals, plans, and adventures. It's been awhile since I've sat down to write a post like this for several reasons and excuses that I won't dare to bore anyone with right now. I'm ready to leave all of that behind and just focus on everything that is ahead of me. I'm not really sure what this year will bring but I'm confident that it's going to be the best year yet or at the very least it's going to be better than this year.
