In Flight Facial

Yet again I have been a terrible blogger and have been totally MIA lately. Luckily, I am trying to catch up and get back on a more normal schedule! I've been doing a bit of traveling lately so I wanted to share with everyone how I keep my skin in check especially on long flights since planes are notorious for sucking all of the moisture and life out of your skin.

I always travel bare faced because I've learned that if I don't my skin becomes a little aggressive and I tend to break out more. If you think about it, it makes sense because the air in planes is so dry and dirty from repetitively circulating in the cabin (kinda gross.) In order to keep my skin as content as possible while traveling I have created myself a little beauty regimen that I can do right in my seat without pestering any of my fellow passengers and it all fits inside of my 1 quart TSA approved ziplock baggie.

Normally I whip out this little beautifying process half way through the flight to break it up and relieve some of my boredom. I start by first cleaning off my face with a makeup wipe or cleansing cloth. I've been using the Simple Cleansing Wipes but, I'm also a HUGE fan of the Olay Fresh Effects Face Wipes. This helps to get off that attractive layer of grime that I always seem to accumulate...everyday of my life (especially during travel.) Afterwards I slap on one of the My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Sheet Masks. They are great for perking up and plumping my skin while controlling oil production and pore size. These particular masks are great for me because the drier the air gets the more oil my skin unfortunately wants to produce. I leave the mask on for about 30 minutes while I try read a book and lay low in my seat so that not every passenger on the flight has to take a peep at my mummy like appearance. Afterwards I remove the mask and massage the rest of the serum into my face and neck. When the serum has dried and sunk into my skin I follow it up with an Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsule. Although I am young and don't necessarily need any anti-aging products just yet they are good for moisturizing and adding some life back into the skin. I top it all off with some Lancome Absolue Replenishing Cream in order to lock in all of the moisture my regiment has packed into it. Then when I feel the need for a little pick me up every now and then I'll give my face a little spritz of my Avene Eau Thermale because there is nothing better than a little thermal water to perk you up when you aren't feeling super fresh.
