Jeffree Star Cosmetics Weirdo | Review
It has finally happened I have a matte black lipstick *praying hands emoji* thank the makeup gods. I know that there are a lot of black lipsticks out there but honestly most of the ones that I have come across aren't dark or opaque enough and when they have been typically they tended to be a little too creamy and they smear everywhere - not a good look. I was going to pick up black velvet from Lime Crime but, after shopping with them ended with me getting fraudulent charges on my bank account I reconsidered and went on a quest for something better.
Enter Jeffree Star's velour liquid lipstick in Weirdo, the perfect blend of edgy and sophisticated all sealed up one precious little tube of matte black lipstick. Some people may be turned off by black or find it hard to wear but I think when simply paired with a cat eye and a clean complexion it is nothing less than perfect. I was so excited about picking this one up that I bought it the minute it re-launched.
Like I have previously stated about Jeffree's other velour liquid lipsticks Weirdo is also kiss proof, vegan, cruelty, paraben, and gluten free. Weirdo is a little less opaque on the first swipe but it is easily built up in two or three swipes. Despite having to do a bit of layering it still feels light and creamy on the lips, never sticky or dry. It's smooth application leaves it looking flawless on the lips without feathering or smudging. The cherry on top is the longevity of this lipstick, it lasts literally all day with minimal touch ups which is great when you're wearing such a bold color.
Black is daring, fun, yet sophisticated. I'm so excited to have this as part of my makeup collection.
