Late last year Lime Crime came out with three more velvetines to add to their collection. They sold out around Black Friday but recently they have been restocked. To commemorate Lime Crime's recent restock of their Velvetines here is a little review on Cashmere, my absolute favorite, because I feel like their formula has slightly changed. I love Cashmere because its a gorgeous greige that can be worn all year round with either a smokey eye or a fresh faced look. Overall I love the velvetine formula because it feels light on the lips and doesn't feel super drying or uncomfortable on the lips but, the newer ones including Cashmere seem to have a little bit more of a thinner more watery formula than the originals and the Clueless Witch collections.

Cashmere has the same matte finish and long lasting staying power that the other Velvetines have but, these are not as opaque on the first swipe. Possibly since Cashmere is a grey nude color (greige) it tends to be a little more sheer on the first application but can be easily built up to the same opaque finish that we have learned to love and expect from velvetines. It seems the matte finish feels just as comfortable as the original formulation if not more so because they are slightly more watery. Cashmere has the same non-sticky feel and non-transferable pigmentation as the original formulation but, since the color is lighter it is easily stained by darker greasier foods so it is easier to remove it then reapply after eating so that the color stays uniform and doesn't have patchy pigmentation. Other than that Cashmere can last all day with minimal touch-ups and fading. As a bonus since the lipstick is lighter when it does begin to fade it is a little less obvious.
Out of the three new velvetines, Cashmere seems to be the most like the original formulation. Anyone who can get their hands on this velvetine this time around definitely should because not only does it wear amazingly but it also looks stunning on a vast amount of skin tones.
