ColourPop is a fairly new brand to me but it has quickly become one of my favorite affordable brands by far. Their formulation, color, and customer service makes this brand a force to be reckoned. Recently I've picked up some of their blushes in Birthday Suit, Aphrodisiac, and Between the Sheets and although the formulation is something I have had to get used to I can honestly say I have really been loving them.
Just like the rest of the ColourPop products the blushes have a great shade range stretching from subtle neutrals to bold and bright hues. These blushes come in a multitude of finishes, including matte, satin, and pearlized, so there is a little something out there for everyone. The formulation of these blushes is unique in my opinion and what I would more or less consider cream to powder. They are so soft and buttery yet aren't too creamy/thick to where they would possibly shift your foundation or couldn't be laid overtop powders. I prefer to use them with a stippling brush in order to build up the product to my prefered intensity or lack there of. You could also use a flat synthetic brush or your fingers with these blushes if you prefer. The blushes are also great because they are long lasting, non-fading, and never seem to get patchy.
[Left to Right: Birthday Suit, Aphrodisiac, and Between the Sheets]
Birthday Suit - Satin neutral pink. A lovely bright and fun pop of color for the spring or just a day out with friends.
Aphrodisiac - Matte soft beige brown. My absolute favorite out of all the colors. This is the perfect blush for me but, it's also amazing as a light soft contour.
Between the Sheets - Matte mid-tone beige pink. The perfect pop of color for a gorgeous natural flush.
I can't wait to get a few more of these little guys because I can't get enough. The blending is so effortless that it makes a flawless complexion quick and easy. The only thing I do have to say is make sure that you are checking the swatches before you purchase because obviously the little thumbnails of the products look a tad different. Also, don't forget to tightly close these guys up after use so they don't dry out and get crusty on you... that would be a true tragedy!
