[Left to Right; La Palette Nude 1 and La Palette Nude 2]
Ladies and gents the drugstores are finally making big waves in the palette department. I've heard a lot of hype around L'Oreal's La Palette Nude 1 and La Palette Nude 2 and I finally had a chance to pick them up this weekend. They are basically the result of a long awaited cry to the makeup gods for there to be a pocket friendly alternative to the cult loved Urban Decay Naked palettes. Each palette containing 10 warm (La Palette Nude 1) or cool (La Palette Nude 2) shades perfect for creating both day and night looks for virtually any occasion.
Each palette comes with a collection of both matte and shimmer shades allowing you to give some dimension to your looks and dress them up or play them down however you so choose. There is also a good spectrum of shades in each palette although neither has any super dark shades. The texture and consistency of these shadows is quite lovely because they are so soft and pigmented. I have found though that you have to be careful, especially with the matte darker shades, because it is easy to pick up too much product and create a bit of a mess. These matte shades also have a tendency to become a bit patchy and must be blended out well. I found that came across this problem much more with the La Palette Nude 2 more than I did with the first though.
