Just Relax

Image
Hello, Lovelies. It’s been awhile I've missed you!

So school has only just begun a few weeks ago and I feel as though it is already draining any life I had out of me (… yes, it’s sad, I know.) Already it seems like the midterm is quickly approaching and I've barely begun to get into the swing of things again. Personally, I feel as though I am constantly on the go whether it’s studying for a class, studying for my LSATS, or working, there is always something I need to do or should be doing. Sometimes I think I can literally hear my brain frying inside of my own skull.
I think we can all agree we all need a from time to time. We need to take a step back and breathe in order to be able to continue on with whatever the hell it is we have to do and to do our best at it. Sometimes giving our minds a rest is the best thing that we can do in order to stay on point. When I feel as though I cannot think anymore I like to take a break from it all and give myself a little me time the best way I know how and that's with a good old fashion bubble bath.
Bubble baths are amazing! They're warm and they smell good... kind of like (some) guys but way less work. Bubble baths are such a great way to unwind and forget about life for a while. We all deserve one now and then. Here is my recipe & routine for the perfect break from life bubble bath and spa ritual:

My Ingredients:
  • Derma-e Microdermabrasion Scrub
  • Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/ Mask
  • Lush Bath Bomb in Butterball
  • Michel Design Works Lavender & Rosemary Shea Butter Soap
  • Michel Design Works Lavender & Rosemary Candle
  • Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Foam Bath in Relaxing Lavender
  • Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Bubble Bath in Relaxing Lavender
(These are just my personal preferences. You could do this with any scents and products you prefer.)

My Routine:
  • 1) I obviously set up the bath. I add about 4 tablespoons of the bubble bath to the water while the spigot is running and then I pour in about half of the foam bath packet. After the tub is full I toss in the butterball bath bomb for good measure. I use all three because it acts like a cocktail. Together they not only make the bath smell amazing but they also give the water a soft moisturizing feel while at the same time still giving it that foam bath tingle.
  • 2) I light the candle…you know give myself a little ambiance and maybe I'll grab myself a glass of water or some wine.
  • 3) Now that I'm all set up I exfoliate my face with the Derma-e Microdermabrasion Scrub before using the Neutrogena Clear Pore as a mask. Personally, I exfoliate before I cleanse rather than the opposite because I see no point in cleansing skin that I'm going to rub off right after. :p
  • 4) I apply the Neutrogena Clear Pore mask and leave it on in the bath for at least 5 minutes. I tend to keep it on a bit longer than directed… because I'm clearly a rebel.
  • 5) Last but certainly not least, chill the hell out!

Hope you enjoyed this & that you give yourself a little personal time. Happy soaking ;) <3 font="">
