Hello, Loves! Some point last week while on my tri-weekly schmooze through the Target cosmetics section I picked up some of the fairly new L'oreal Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks. I must have been overly mesmerized by their pretty gold packaging because I honestly don't need any more lip products, although it's not like the lack of necessity has ever stopped me from buying something before. I figured I'd give them a whirl because a few more lip products in my life never hurts.
In all this collection has sixteen shades ranging from light shades like nudes and pinks to darker shades like reds and plums. Over all I think this collection has a great selection of shades and that everyone has the chance to find the color for them within it. For my personal taste I don't find any of the colors to be too dramatic so they would all work well for everyday wear. These colors are oil based so they are packed with hydration and pigment. They have an amazing shine to them as an extra bonus to their lovely color. The color is pretty buildable so its easy to intensify the color payoff. They are very creamy as well as smooth and easy to apply. Unlike other liquid lipsticks or glosses they aren't sticky and they don't tend to bleed out despite their high pigmentation. Although these glosses don't have a long wear to them they are very easy to wear and when they do fade the color doesn't clump up or become spotty.
I picked up three different types of shades, a nude (Nude Ballet), a bright (Pink Tremolo) and a bold (Ruby Opera), just to get a feel for how the collection ranged over all. As far as pigmentation they are pretty on par with one another. I did find Nude Ballet to be slightly less pigmented because I could definitely see a little bit of my natural lip color peeking through the gloss but, that is to be expected with such a light color. They have a very sweet scent to them but, it isn't too strong or overpowering. I actually really enjoy the scent but, I can't stand the taste when it accidentally gets into my mouth. bleh. The shine is really intensified in the brighter and more bold colors but, tends to give a more natural shine to the lighter and more nude shades.
Ruby Opera: It is a true red shade that gives a nice pop of color to the lips without giving the feeling of too much intensity. I find it to be a classic and sophisticated color that can really dress up a look.
Pink Tremolo: A bright pink shade that is both fun and feminine. I love wearing this color to brighten up the face and make my makeup look a little more exciting.
Nude Ballet: A true nude that is great for an everyday natural look. It has the ability to bring everything together and make it look clean and crisp.
Normally I'm not the biggest liquid lipstick/ lipgloss fan but, I do have to say that I'm really loving these products because of their formula and pigmentation. Unfortunately they have a very short wear time but, i don't think it will be stopping me from picking up a few more of these little guys. If you're into these types of lip products I definitely recommend you picking up a few as well.
Until next time!
