Lime Crime Velvetine in Salem

It's been a pretty wild and busy month but, I finally got around to picking up Lime Crime's Velvetine in Salem from their Clueless Witch collection. I've been pining over it ever since I picked up Wicked a couple of weeks ago. I picked it up as a little present for myself because lets be honest, in true millennial fashion I believe that I should treat myself after accomplishing every menial task. Not really but, I do enjoy giving myself a reason to buy things I want yet don't really need. Either way it has been a long time coming and I am more than thrilled about it. 

Salem is a gorgeous matte chocolate brown color. In true Velvetine fashion it has a light-weight liquid to dry formula that glides onto the lips smoothly and effortlessly without leaving them dried out. It applies evenly with rich opaque color and although you have to be careful around the outline of your lips it is pretty simple to apply. It has virtually zero transfer and will last from the crack of dawn until way past midnight. Unless eating something super greasy only minimal touch-ups if any are needed which, is amazing if for some reason you forgot to pop the product in your bag on the way out the door. It is definitely up to par with the quality of the Lime Crime name with it's overall greatness. 

Salem is a unique statement color that I think personally will look good on a multitude of skin tones. It's eye catching in all the right ways because it is so bold but not overwhelming. Like the other colors from the Clueless Witch collection this isn't your typical spring/ summer shade but, then again who cares because sometimes its better to be outside of the typical warm weather palette.
