Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel

I'm not one to mess around with unfamiliar brow products because it's a risky endeavor that could end with disastrous results. To avoid any brow faux pas I normally stick to the products I know best and leave it at that but that was until I stumbled across the Revlon Brow Fantasy. I was first attracted to it because it's dual ended and I've been looking for a tinted brow gel for when I'm feeling extra lazy and I just want to clean the brows up enough to look presentable.

The Revlon Brow Fantasy is a pretty simple one and done brow product that is available at virtually every drugstore for about $6. It comes in three colors: Dark Blonde, Brunette, and Dark Brown. On one end there is a standard brow pencil which, is a little thick for clean brow detailing but it's good for general shaping and filling in gaps. The formula is pretty waxy and isn't hard like a lot of other basic brow pencils so it's pretty easy to work with overall. On the other end there is a tinted brow gel to lock everything into place. The gel is pretty light weight and it gives a solid yet comfortable hold without leaving your brows hard and crispy feeling.

I originally picked up the Brunette shade but, I found it to be a bit too red and went back for the Dark Brown which, suited me pretty perfectly if I do say so myself. It is much more neutral and ashy than the other two shades which seem to run a bit warmer in tone. I'm used to working with powder and wax brow products with an angled brush because it gives me the best precision for clean lines so using a chunkier pencil was somewhat daunting. Surprisingly it was pretty easy to work with though, I just used the pencil to lightly fill in my brows and then I went back in with an angled brush to blend them out and shape them. Afterwards I just cleaned them up with some concealer and sealed the deal with the brow gel anddd bada-boom bada-bing DONE! I'd like to think it left the brow game looking pretty solid so I have to say I really like this product. I probably won't be using it everyday but, its good to have around and it's something I can easily toss into my purse or travel makeup bag if need be.
