Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner | Review

There is something absolutely satisfying about a super clean polished lip. It's like an art form all by itself. I always envy people with naturally even lips because making that ish symmetrical without looking crazy is something serious. Sometimes I think making my top lip symmetrical is more stressful than making my winged liner even. We all have our makeup struggles and that one is pretty high up there on my list.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid | Review

It's been a long time since I've done a solid poke around the drugstore so I made that one of my first missions of 2016. They had a ton of newness and although I didn't pick up a ton of things I made a mental note of things that I need to try ASAP. Obviously, I couldn't put everything I wanted to try on hold; especially these new Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lippies that called to me like a siren's song. If you've been here for any length of time you know my love for matte liquid lips.

GlamGlow Plumrageous vs. Too Faced Lip Injection

For some strange reason I love lip plumpers. It's strange because it's kind of silly to love a product that is kind of (literally) irritating to use but ya know such is life I suppose. Fortunately, I was blessed with naturally full lips so they aren't a real necessity for me but, that hasn't stopped me from perusing around the lip plumper department in search of the perfect pout enhancer. In my mind there haven't really been any new lip plumpers launching onto the market until recently when GlamGlow launched their new matte and glossy lip enhancers, Plumprageous. Obviously intrigued I decided to put it up against a classic, the Too Faced Lip Injection, to see how they match up.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint (TBT & Fomo) | Review

Do you know what I don't need in my life? More nude matte lipsticks. Do you know what I bought anyway? More nude matte lipsticks. I think that I own over 100+ lip products, they are definitely the one makeup product I own the most of because they are my favorite. Of course any lip product I've purchased for at least the past year has been more of a want than a need I still do it for the sake of makeup science or that's how I'm going to justify it anyway.

Holiday Party Eyes and Lips

Holiday party season is now in full swing, well not for me but it is for people with friends and lives and whatnot. That means lots of fun exciting makeup looks that for many people seem unthinkable for any other time of the year. It's the time of the year when glitter, smokey eyes, and generally bold makeup can run free and wild.

Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip Beeper | Review

Another neutral brown lip?! Yes, count me in. My love and passion for lip colors like this is eternally burning and as you already know it takes a lot of willpower for me not to purchase every single one I come across. It's gotten to the point where one of my managers calls it "the Lexi color" because it's basically the only color I wear. I've definitely had to let a few slip through my fingers for my bank account's sake but, I hope all those non-purchased lippies out there know that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about them *sheds single tear.*

Fortunately for me I couldn't pass this one up because both the color and the price were right on target. I've been in love with Colour Pop's Ultra Matte Lip products since they launched and although during this recent color launch I only picked up one new shade I still think they are good products for a price you can't really beat. There's a color for everyone. If you don't have the money to splurge on makeup but you want some things that are new and different, Colour Pop is your brand.

Beeper is in the vain of shades that you often see on my blog. It's a warm mid-toned brown-y taupe. Obviously my go-to shade for any and all situations life may throw at me. Beeper is one of the darker neutral shades that I own which makes it great for the upcoming fall and winter months. It gives that slightly dark edge that I am constantly looking for. Beeper wears well and comfortably. It doesn't feel as dry as the Colour Pop shades I've gotten in the past. I'm not sure if the formula is different or if it's just the wear of this particular color but, it is the most comfortable one I own. It goes on just as easily and smoothly as the other shades and it lasts just as well too (6 - 8 hrs.) The color goes on almost opaque after one swipe but I typically do two just for good measure. There is virtually no transfer and touch ups are easy breezy when the color does begin to fade since the formula is quite thin. As soon as I put this color on it immediately became one of my favorite lip shades. I can already tell it's going to be my most worn Colour Pop lippie from here forward.

Lime Crime Velvetine in Utopia | Review

Utopia was the first velvetine introduced after the Clueless Witch Velvetine Collection. Personally, I think that this seems to be a color that hasn't recently gotten all of the recognition that it deserves. Utopia is a gorgeous vibrant orchid that can't be described any other way besides fun and feminine. It's an easy pop of color for anyone to wear but, I think it is particularly stunning on darker and more olive complexions. It is also an easy color to pair with both simple and bold makeup looks.

Lime Crime Velvetine in Pansy | Review

Since I did a review of Cashmere the other day I figured I should seal the deal and talk about Lime Crime's other two newer releases, Pansy and Utopia. Today I am going to focus on Pansy and then make a separate post for Utopia Even though I think that they are pretty similar in formula and wear.

Top 5 Ways to Go Nude | Lipsticks

Some of my favorite lipstick shades are nudes because they are so versatile. They can pull together a smokey eye or dress up a simple neutral look. It also doesn't hurt that they are easy to wear and you rarely have to worry about awkward bold color splotches or strange diseased looking fading. A little bit of color goes a long way, nudes show that its not only bolds that can be beautiful and eye catching. There are tons of shades and textures out there and everyone has a few that they are drawn to but, here are a few of my favorites in no seriously particular order that I would rock and repurchase again and again and again.

Lime Crime Velvetine in Wicked

Hello, Loves! Lime Crime came out with their The Clueless Witch velvetine collection on March 19th and I knew I had to pick up at least one of the three shades. The collection is basically the love child of Clueless and American Horror Story's The Coven which, could not have came out any more amazing. Wicked is a matte burgundy-red and it might not be something that anyone would call a spring color but, a season has never stopped me from wearing dark colors all year round so I saw no point in stopping now.
