Sephora Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala | Shimmering Cheek Trio Review

The Sephora Pantone Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio is the third and final piece of the Color of the Year collection that I picked up. I didn't feel a need to pick up any of the other pieces because I feel like the ones I purchased are the things that I would get the most use from. The cheek trio is great because if wearing marsala on your eyes seems like a little much for you its a great simple color for the cheeks that looks gorgeous on a wide variety skin tones.

The trio comes with two shades of marsala blush and a complementing champagne colored highlight. The lighter marsala blush is peachy in tone while the other marsala blush is more of a muted medium toned rusty brick red. Both colors instantly give the face a lovely warm glow that catches the light in just the right way and works well all year round. Neither of the blushes have any glitter in them but they still have a subtle shimmer that really awakens the face.

All of the powders in the trio are super soft and buttery, much like the Sephora Pantone Eyeshadows. They are super pigmented and blend effortlessly. Using a light hand the highlight and blushes can go on as a sheer wash of color or be built up to add a more bold pop to the cheeks. The colors last all day and don't fade or become patchy throughout their wear. If you have oily skin or you constantly have issues with your makeup separating or sliding off your face make sure that you use a primer and or setting spray with your makeup so that you can get the best long wearing results.
