Sephora Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala | Shimmering Cheek Trio Review

The Sephora Pantone Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio is the third and final piece of the Color of the Year collection that I picked up. I didn't feel a need to pick up any of the other pieces because I feel like the ones I purchased are the things that I would get the most use from. The cheek trio is great because if wearing marsala on your eyes seems like a little much for you its a great simple color for the cheeks that looks gorgeous on a wide variety skin tones.

Sephora Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala | Liquid Liner Review

Normally I don't stray too far from the path when it comes to my liners. I usually will stick to the standard black gel liner for a strong winged liner look and call it a day. It's quite rare for me to even do any glitter accent lining or anything of the sort but, when I saw the Sephora Pantone Color of the Year liquid liner part of me knew I had to have it. There is something classically edgy about its metallic medium deep marsala coloring and I completely adore it. The color makes a statement without being too bold or distracting from the overall look. It is perfect for this season full of warm reds and deep purples but, I can also see it transitioning itself into the months to come along side all of the nudes and neutral tones that seem to stay classic throughout the year.

Sephora Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala | Eyeshadow Palette Review

So it is finally the beginning of a new year and Sephora and Pantone have launched its new color of the year for 2015. Although they have taken quite a bold approach to color in the past this year they have taken a more neutral approach and honestly I couldn't be any happier. This year's color is Marsala, they consider it a bold nude shade but, basically its a gradation of neutral brick red tones. I think this is an amazing color that has the ability to look gorgeous on all skin tones. I know that red-ish colors in eyeshadows can be intimidating because they have the ability to make you look sick or that you have an infection but if done right with the right tones it is actually gorgeous and one of my favorite shadow colors.
