Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker Lip Balms

First things first, I am basically a gigantic child. I like collecting really cute random trinkets, keychains, etc. with my best friend, Megan. I wouldn't say I'm a totally avid collector because I'm not pressed on buying full series of things; I like buying the characters I think are the cutest. Yes, I know I'm probably too old but, I don't really care so that's that. I have a really impressive collection of mystery bag 3D figural keychains (Disney) that I'm pretty proud of... my special skill is feeling out the bags and knowing what's in the bag before I buy it. Seriously, I'm so good at it I could put it on my resume as a skill.

While Chrismahanaka shopping for Megan, my fellow trinket hoarder, I stumbled across these Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker Lip Balms at Target. I initially passed over them just to hunt them down later because their cuteness haunted me. Neither of us are Tsum Tsum collectors but like I said I'm a collector of cute so here we are now. These aren't typically the type of makeup I talk about here but, ya know, whatever.

Apparently these little babies are hot commodities and were pretty hard to find until recently. When I got mine from Target they had to pull them from the stockroom for me because they didn't have any on the floor but, now they are on the Lip Smacker site.

This first collection series has four uniquely scented characters Minnie (strawberry lollipop), Mickey (marshmallow pop), Pooh Bear (honey pot), and Stitch (blueberry wave.) I think they all smell pretty amazing. None of them have any actual color to them although the Minnie and Stitch balms themselves do have a color. These balms are pretty standard to the Lip Smackers lip balm formulation, smooth and hydrating but obviously nothing too crazy. I actually like them more than the Eos balms which after awhile I found dried out my lips a bit more than they actually helped.

The actual lip balm part of these Tsum Tsum Lip Smackers looks pretty small, about the size of a robin egg. At first I was actually blown about how small they were since the packaging is a little bit bigger than a golf ball but, then I realized that there is actually a little bit more product in these than there are in the Eos balms (7.4g v. 7g.) I can't say that it looks that way at all though even when you compare the two next to each other but I guess this is more of a collector's product so I'm sure not many people will mind either way.

Like I said the lip balm itself is nice but nothing to write home about but, I think in general these are super cute collectors pieces. I really can't get over how cute these are sooo it's safe to say that if they come out with any more I will probably be purchasing them. Sorry I'm not sorry I'm all about the cute life.
