Everyone loves a glow especially during the summer. It's all about sun kissed tans and skin that glows so perfectly when it reflects in the sun it could blind a man. I may not be one for much of a tan but, I love a good glow. In my most humble opinion I think a nice highlight makes your complexion look more awake and healthy. It's a subtle statement that makes a big impact when you hit the light just right. Just enough in all the right places and you'll be catching eyes left and right.
I've gathered together some of my recent favorite products for getting that summer glow. Some of these products I've been using for awhile and others have just recently came into my life and changed it for the better. Each of these products can be used on their own or in a cocktail to give the perfect radiant highlight.
Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Veil - This highlighting powder gives a lovely light soft focus glow to the face. You can use it all over but I prefer to just set my under eyes with it so it gives a nice bright base for my other highlighting products. Out of all of the highlighters in my collection this one is the most soft and natural looking.
NARS Monoi Body Glow II - I'm not going to lie when I first got this product I was not a fan but it was my own fault. I got it as a gift from my mom and I thought I could use it as a shave oil. The fragrance ended up irritating my legs and it left me super itchy and irritated. Since then I have given it another shot and used it for it's more intended purpose as a moisturizing oil and I love it so much more. The light floral scent is amazing and it leaves my body soft feel and luminous healthy glow.
Urban Decay Sin Eyeshadow - I've made this a favorite before and for good reason. This eyeshadow makes the most amazing highlight. It's a bit more intense but it isn't overpowering. The highlight brings a nice warmth to the face and it's always eye catching. I guess you could also use it for it's intended purpose and put it on your eyelids but I can't say I've ever done that soooo yeah.
Sonia Kashuk Highlighter Stick Persian Sunset - This little gem is pretty new to my collection but, I absolutely adore it already. It gives the most perfect looking dewy glow. I was worried at first because it looks super shimmery but, on the skin it looks like just enough and when the light hits it the glow is fabulous. I love it on its own but, I also like using it under other highlighters to give a more intense effect.
Make Up For Ever Sculpting Duo 1 - An amazing everyday bronzer and highlighter in one sleek little package. The highlight is pretty light but you can build it up a bit for a more intense look. This is my favorite highlight to pair with the Sonia Kashuk Highlighter Stick because it gives it that extra pop without taking it too far towards disco ball status.
I really adore these little guys and hopefully I'll be able to add a few more to the list before the summer is over!
