Formula 10.0.6 is all about promoting clear healthy skin and that is definitely one thing that I'm always about. Great makeup starts with great skin and honestly I'm never satisfied with my makeup if my skin isn't in the best condition so I'm always working hard to keep my skin looking fresh and clear.
When I first started my regiment a few weeks ago my skin was super angry and irritated (honestly I couldn't tell you why- it just was.) Now, although still not perfect my skin, my skin looks clearer than it has in a really long time.
There are four products from the Formula 10.0.6 line that I use daily and three that I use weekly or when necessary so let's get down to business.
Every morning and evening I wash my face with the Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser. I love the invigorating grapefruit scent and the way it makes my face feel deeply cleansed without feeling stripped. The cleanser really breaks down and washes away any oil or makeup that may be lingering in my pores. After I cleanse in the morning I hydrate with the Picture Perfect Day Moisturizer. The Vitamin C in the moisturizer helps to brighten my skin while the SPF 15 keeps me safe from the sun. I'm pretty terrible at applying sunscreen and honestly it's because I hate how heavy it feels but, I love this moisturizer and lightweight and non-greasy it feels on my skin. At night after I cleanse I use the So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser Acne Treatment on a cotton pad to deep clean my pores and fight off any facial demons that may be plaguing my face. Although I always have some texture on my forehead using this treatment has brought it down significantly and in my mind my texture is barely noticeable now. Then I top it all off with the P.M. Perfector Overnight Hydrating Cream. The night cream is a bit thicker and hydrating than my morning moisturizer which I love because that overnight hydration has really helped to balance out my skin. I'm still oily but it takes longer for me to get super oily throughout the day. Oily people don't forget we need deep hydration too.
When it came to the days where I felt like my skin needed a little more tender love and care I bust out the masks and treatments. Since I wear makeup almost everyday I need to detox my skin once a week or so just to make sure everything is in tip top shape. I've been exfoliating with the Three Times Sublime 3 in 1 Blackhead Wash, Scrub, and Mask not only does it keep my skin soft and bright but, it also really fights off any blackheads or clogged pores I might be experiencing. I'm all about the warming sensation that it has because I can really feel it getting deep down into my skin. Sometimes after I open up and clean my pores with the exfoliator I follow it up with the Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask. I use it to really deep clean everything and really suck out anything that may be lingering under the surface. My skin never feels dry and tight after using it like it can get with some other mud masks I've tried. It's gentle and I love how it smells like strawberries because it's so relaxing to do after a long day of work. Last but not least in the treatment department sometimes I bust out the Down to The Pore Pore Strips. Let's be honest there is something disturbingly satisfying about pore strips and these bad boys make sure nothing is left behind. If I could I would use these everyday if I could but since I can't I just bust them out once every two weeks to avoid any texture on my nose.
I love how gentle and effective my routine has become. If you have troublesome skin Formula 10.0.6 is a brand you should definitely check out. The line works amazingly together but, it would also work well just to add into your routine and give yourself an extra boost to detoxify and purify your skin.
I also think that this is a great place to start if you're just getting into skincare and aren't ready to splurge. All of the products work so well but aren't harsh on your face or your pocket. You can get an entire routine in what it would cost for one high-end moisturizer.
Good review. I'm not into skin care stuff that much but I'm starting to realize how important it is to have a good skin care routine. My main problem currently is how to deal with oily skin.
