It made me think that I should probably give a new moisturizer a shot since I felt like the proper moisturization and hydration would be the first step to getting my skin to balance itself out a bit. I've always heard cult favorite type stories about First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream but, I always thought it was going to be a little too heavy for my oily skin type; and if my skin was still behaving like that I'm sure it would be. Really anything that can be used on the face and body has always just kind of turned me off for some weird reason. Yet, I decided to try it anyway since my skin was feeling really dry and tight in some places courtesy of my wind blown walks from work.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is made for sensitive skin and is super hydrating in order to hydrate dry dehydrated skin. It's made with antioxidants and without parabens and other harsh chemicals so you know that it will be gentle on the skin and not irritate (most) people's skin. I was shocked to find that this was not too heavy on my skin at all and that this moisturizer actually absorbed into the skin quite well without leaving me feeling greasy at all. It helped to alleviate my dry patches and help with my dehydration without making my oily spots any worse. A little goes a long way so you don't need much more than a pea sized amount to moisturize your entire face. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is rich enough to give life to dry skin yet, it is absorbent enough to work well for normal skin types and skin types that are oily due to dehydration. This moisturizer is also great for getting makeup to blend well on textured skin. The only thing is that I still wouldn't recommend this for oilier skin types because it is going to be too much.
Personally First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream probably won't be my all year round moisturizer but, for my skin, it's amazing for these cold dry winter months. Also, this by far is one of my top moisturizer recommendations for all my dry skinned babes out there. After putting this on anything you put on top of it blends way more seamlessly into the skin.
