Friday Favorites | Best Dark Lips for Fall

Like almost every other lipstick lover in the world I have two moods - nude and dark. If I'm not wearing a dark lip I'm hanging out on the other side of the spectrum in one of the vampiest lipstick shades I can find. Although I think a dark lip can be rocked any time of the year, Autumn is really the dark lips' time to shine. Tons of new dark makeup collections come out and trend guides show makeup lovers new and old just how to get that perfect dark lip that will suit their style.
[Left to Right: Limbo, Matte Frappuccino, LAX, Creature, Photobomb, Damned]

Personally for me when it comes to dark lips I either like going for grungy browns or vampy dark reds. Not to say that other dark colors don't tickle my fancy, it's just that those are the sorts of colors I tend to gravitate towards the most because they suit my style. I've picked out six of my favorite colors that I think are just perfect for Fall.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Limbo - The perfect dark chocolate brown lip color to last you all the way through the leaves changing. The color is a little grungy feeling which I love for this time of year because it pairs so well with a smokey eye.

Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick Matte Frappuccino - If you want to dip your toes into the dark sided pool but you aren't fully ready to commit this warm brown lip is for you. It's a darker nude but, it's still mild enough to be used for everyday in my opinion making it perfect for day or night.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip LAX - A blackened red fit for the fairest of vampy lip lovers. When I think of vamp red this color instantly comes to mind as that perfect classic color for darkening your look.

ColourPop Lippie Stick Creature - Sitting in the same vein this color is deep blackened burgundy that gives off a dark sultry vibe as soon as you slip it on your lips. If you aren't into liquid lipsticks this color is a great alternative to LAX and similar colors.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick Photobomb - Stepping into a more berry tone this dark burgundy wine shade is an ideal partner to any autumn wine night. An instant and beautiful fix for hiding those merlot stained lips.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Damned - The darkest black cherry you'll ever see really steps up the vampy lip game. A red so dark that it's almost black may seem a little intimidating to some but, it is one of the most flattering deeper shades I have ever seen on a multitude of complexions.

What are your favorite dark lip trends?
