Kat Von D Shade and Light Eyeshadow Quad in Rust | Review

Kat Von D's Shade and Light Eyeshadow Palette is one of my absolute favorite palettes. There is no doubt that Kat knows her stuff when it comes to pigment and color payoff - you could look at any product in her current line and you could see that hands down. So it was no surprise that her new Shade and Light Eyeshadow Quads were going to be a must have for me - more specifically "Rust" because it's a simple quad of colors I basically eat, sleep, and breathe.

Time is really ticking on the Holiday/Christmas countdown clock. Everything is slowly but surely creeping up upon us and the shopping time is about to be down to the knuckles. I'm personally pretty good at not waiting until the last minute to get too many gifts but, I'm always on the lookout for another good gift to give. Gift giving is that one time where you get to find out how well or how poorly you know your friends. For some reason it's also that fun time of year where you totally blank out on what to give some people despite how well you know them. It's that hectic time of year that just fries your brain to a charred little crisp. 

Friday Favorites | November Favorites

It's been far too long since I've done a monthly favorites post. Lately I've been really liking my makeup routine so I haven't made too many switches in my line up recently but, I've started playing around again. It's been a wild month but, I've still managed to find some new things to love and rekindle some old favorite flames. This past month was quite trying but, as we all are, I'm hoping the looming new year brings a lot of happiness and fun new adventure.

Now that the holiday season is virtually in full swing it's time for red lips to take their place in the spotlight. Red lips in my opinion always have and always will be a staple in classic holiday makeup looks. They make an eye catching statement that ties together with all the glitz and glam the season has to offer. Red lips are timeless, classic, and give a little pop of color to an otherwise colorless time of year. 

My Everyday Eyes, Brows, and Lips

Try as I might, typically my makeup routine (especially my eyes) tends to be pretty much some variation of the same thing on a daily basis. I would like to use the excuse that I have a full time job and I don't have time to experiment most of the time... not that I usually experiment on my days off either although I should. Maybe I should start branching out more but, I like what I have going on so that might be a slow process.

Two of my favorite things are liquid lipsticks and nude/neutral lips. It's an obvious fact about me and it's probably something I never have to state again because by this point I'm sure everyone is more than aware. I've got at least a drawer full of nude lip products but I never seem to have enough.

Oh how I love neutral eyeshadows. They are practically the only types of eyeshadows that I wear apart from a good pop of red or purple from time to time. I've created quite the collection of nude eyeshadow palettes and singles over the years and no matter how many I have I can never seem to have enough. Sure this may make many of my eye looks seem quite similar but trust and believe upon deeper inspection of my colorful little eyeballs it is not the case at all.

Like almost every other lipstick lover in the world I have two moods - nude and dark. If I'm not wearing a dark lip I'm hanging out on the other side of the spectrum in one of the vampiest lipstick shades I can find. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Bow N Arrow | Review

I probably own about 1000 brown nude matte lip products (okay in actuality its probably more like 20-30 but, still.) I probably do not need another one but, the lack of need has never stopped me from buying a lipstick before and it isn't going to start now. I'll be honest here, sure I own a lot of lipsticks that look the same but, unless they are in the same packaging with the exact same name on them they are vastly different and that is how I will justify any similar purchase. Nudes lips are a constant go to for me so in my mind I can never really have enough. So, obviously when Bow N Arrow relaunched buying it was a no brainer. 

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Damned | Review

One more liquid lipstick to add to my collection because the Lord knows you can never have too many. They are my favorite type of lip product to wear especially when I'm at work or going out because I don't have to worry about smudging or constantly reapplying.  Since I'm generally pretty lazy I really appreciate things like this that stay pristine all day with little to no effort. They are one of those true miracle products in my book.
