Agave Hair Oil Treatment & Brush | Review

I'm honestly so proud about how far I've come in taking care of my hair. Personally, having healthy hair despite the fact that it's cherry red is quite the accomplishment for me considering about two years ago I virtually fried it all off by over processing and toning it straight to hell. I realized I could have fun with my hair and maintain it's health if I did it the right way and invested some time and effort into actually taking care of my mane.

A Hair Cocktail Worth the Hype | Ouai Haircare Hair Oil & Treatment Mask

I'm a certified reformed hair abuser. I've done a lot of seriously damaging things to my hair over the years and for that, my dear hair that I have left, I am very sorry. I have pretty thick hair and I honestly felt like I could do whatever I wanted to it without any real consequence which, was true until I dyed it grey and toasted most of it to hell. For over a year I didn't touch it with any dyes, hacked a good amount of it off, and worked on getting it back on the mend so I could dye it again (which I was finally able to do - YAY.) I've almost every product under the sun but, it wasn't until a few months ago that I found some products that really blew products I had previously loved right out of the water.

Friday Favorites | New Hair Saviors

As I have discussed before I have eczema/psoriasis on my head making my scalp and my already dry hair follicles even drier and more weak. Since this issue has progressed I've gotten more and more into haircare in order to calm and alleviate the problem. I also have appointments with a dermatologist but, since it takes so long to get the appointments I have found my own ways of managing and getting by. Sometimes if you want things to get better you just have to take a proactive approach and figure things out for yourself.

Haircare 101 | Thick Dry Hair

So I have some seriously thick long hair. Fortunately, this means that it can endure quite the beating (repetitive box dying, over processing, heat) without leaving me bald. Yet, recently I've had a change of heart and decided that it would be in my best interest to leave my harmful hair ways behind and start actually taking care of my poor hair and scalp. No more ratty ends or dull lifeless hair for me.
