Friday Favorites | Full Coverage Foundation Rotation

For me great makeup starts with a flawless base. You could have the best eye look on the planet but, if your complexion isn't done the look just doesn't feel right, it looks unfinished, and just a bit off. As much as I love all aspects of makeup I tend to spend a lot of time tweaking and perfecting my complexion because of how important it is to the makeup look as a whole.

Holiday Party Eyes and Lips

Holiday party season is now in full swing, well not for me but it is for people with friends and lives and whatnot. That means lots of fun exciting makeup looks that for many people seem unthinkable for any other time of the year. It's the time of the year when glitter, smokey eyes, and generally bold makeup can run free and wild.

Light Makeup Medley

When I have a day off 98.9% of the time I don't wear makeup. I just take my days off as fresh face days so my skin can breathe and have a break from being smothered under a face full of makeup. Typically they are the days when I do my face masks and other skincare treatments. Sometimes on the rare occasion though I want to pull myself together a bit and pop on some makeup. I consider these days quite light makeup days although I feel like many people may beg to differ a bit.

Top 10 Makeup Products to Buy at Sephora

The world of Sephora is both a magical and dangerous place. There's always something new coming out and I always seem to find something that I think that I just have to have in my life. Rarely do I actually need a new product but every time I somehow find a way to justify a adding a new little makeup baby to my collection. I think if my family knew how often I was spending money on makeup they would try to send me to a beauty addict reform school. Fortunately for me they don't pay attention to me like that so my addiction is allowed to flourish and I can continue to share all of my fun things with all of you.

A Make Up For Ever Haul

Over the past two weeks or so I have picked up and been given some new Make Up For Ever Products that I am really excited about. Honestly, my dream makeup kit for myself and for my clients would be purely made up of Make Up For Ever Products aside from my beloved Laura Mercier Loose Powder. It was the first high end brand that I ever really got into and it has had a special place in my heart ever since. I'm still waiting for Dani Sanz to adopt me and I'm pretty sure one day its 10000% going to happen I can feel it. I'll even learn French for her I swear (probably not but, it's the thought that counts.)

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo 1 | Review

Although I've been on my contour game since before contouring was a thing it hasn't stopped me from taking full advantage of all of the new contour products that brands have been coming out with lately. Tons of creams and powders in shades of matte brown, matte highlights, and shimmering highlights as far as the eye can see. It's really a glorious sight and apparently from what I've been really noticing it's been a slept on art for the general public. Sure, contouring might not be for everyone but, it really can make a huge difference. You can make it has soft or as sharp as you would like so really I feel like there is a little something in it for everyone when it comes to contouring but that's just my opinion.

Make Up For Ever M-846 Artist Shadow | Review

Lately I have been obsessed with dark red/ burgundy eyeshadows. I seriously just want to be excessive and add them into every single eye look that I do. They are just so mysterious and elegant I cannot get enough. I am so close to breaking down and buying both of the Melt Cosmetics eyeshadow stacks just for those stunning reds. Praise the color gods for Pantone making their marsala color of the year because it has the reds flowing in full force. OKAY now I am ranting but, I just wanted to talk about how obsessed I am with this color right now.

Make Up For Ever Cinema Flash Palete | Review

The Make Up For Ever Cinema Flash Palette comes with 12 neutral flash colors that are super creamy, light, and opaque. These shades work well on their own or with each other to make a multitude of gorgeous colors. This palette has the same general concept as the original flash palette but this one is a little bit more user friendly because the colors allow you to need less of an understanding of color theory to use it and it requires less color mixing.

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows I-824, M-816, D-862 | Review

[From left to right D-862, M-816, and I-824]

Make Up For Ever is one of my absolute favorite brands on a multitude of levels. They have such great quality products with such a wide range of colors that there is something to suit absolutely everyone from the conservative to the bold risk taker. In the not so distant past MUFE redid all of their Artist Shadows so I decided to pick up a few. These shadows are individually packaged in their pans with a temporary plastic casing so that they can be easily placed into an empty MUFE palette or your own customizable palette (z-palette, etc.) This is great because it makes it easy to customize your makeup to your needs. Each shadow is $21 a piece and it is $1 to add the plastic palette but, if you purchase a duo you get $9 off and if you purchase a trio you get $20 off. I think its quite worth it to stock up in trios because you're basically getting a shadow for free!

Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer Review

The Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer has always been one of my true superheroes when it comes to hiding blemishes. Even though I have a few favorite concealers this is my go-to when I'm really going for that porcelain look because it was formulated specifically to hide intense imperfections like scars, hyperpigmentation, burns, and tattoos. It has a creamy oil free formula that dries matte for long lasting waterproof perfection. Be careful though because concealer sets quickly and when its set it is not going to budge all day so its best to use a little bit at a time and to work in small areas. Personally, I would say that the Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer hides imperfections much better than it hides tattoos because no matter what it is going to normally take more than one product to properly cover a tattoo so keep that in mind when using it for concealing tattoos. Also keep in mind that because it has a matte finish it is not ideal for your under eyes, it will make fine lines and dry patches very noticeable... I'm not saying you can't do it (hell, I'm not your mother) but, if you're going to just be careful and make sure you've really moisturized.
