Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation | Review

Although I am tried and true to my full coverage foundations I will occasionally come out of that box for the sake of experimentation. No one ever found something amazing by only sticking with the same old same, right?! I have nothing against foundations with less than medium-full coverage but, I have freckles that I prefer to hide most of the time and typically anything less just doesn't cut it enough for me. Every now and then a foundation will come out that peaks my curiosity and I will stray from my norms.

You could have the best eye look on the planet but, if your complexion isn't done the look just doesn't feel right, it looks unfinished, and just a bit off. Rarely do I actually need a new product but every time I somehow find a way to justify a adding a new little makeup baby to my collection. I think if my family knew how often I was spending money on makeup they would try to send me to a beauty addict reform school. Fortunately for me they don't pay attention to me like that so my addiction is allowed to flourish and I can continue to share all of my fun things with all of you.

Recently I decided to switch up my foundation routine, branch out, and try a new line just for fun and to see what I was missing out on in the world. I tried out a few different products they were all hit or miss but then I decided to try out some Laura Mercer. I always heard tons of hype around Laura Mercier's Silk Creme foundation and since the new formula had just come out I figured I would give it a shot. I'm always a hop, skip, and a jump behind the hype but, always interested none the less.

I've recently made a little switch up in my complexion products just to try something new and all I have to say is that I'm in love. The new Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation (full review coming soon) and the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder are a match made in makeup heaven. 

The Hunt for the Perfect Liquid Highlight

For whatever reason I like layering my highlighters. I always apply a liquid highlight, set my makeup and then top it off with a powder highlight at the end. I have a few powder highlights that I adore but, I've been on a mission the past few weeks to find a new liquid one because my ever so loved discontinued Smashbox Artificial Light in Flash is almost out - cue many tiny violins playing for my tragic loss.
