Milk Makeup Blur Foundation | Review

I've really been into BB creams and sheer to medium coverage foundations for the past few months so I was pretty surprised when I tried out the new full coverage Blur Foundation from Milk Makeup and totally fell in love with it. OKAY, I'm not really shocked because I love the Milk Makeup brand but, I am surprised that I've been so obsessed with it, constantly grabbing for it, considering the fact that I've been really embracing my freckles and letting them breathe.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation *NEW Formula* | Review

I'm almost always in the mood to try out a foundation, especially one that has been a cult classic. The YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation has been around for quite some time but, as a full coverage foundation girl I couldn't justify the $58 price point with the old light coverage formula - I knew I just wouldn't use it enough. Now that YSL has revamped the formulation by making it a medium to full coverage I can totally stand behind putting this foundation all over my face.

Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation | Review

Although I am tried and true to my full coverage foundations I will occasionally come out of that box for the sake of experimentation. No one ever found something amazing by only sticking with the same old same, right?! I have nothing against foundations with less than medium-full coverage but, I have freckles that I prefer to hide most of the time and typically anything less just doesn't cut it enough for me. Every now and then a foundation will come out that peaks my curiosity and I will stray from my norms.

Friday Favorites | Full Coverage Foundation Rotation

For me great makeup starts with a flawless base. You could have the best eye look on the planet but, if your complexion isn't done the look just doesn't feel right, it looks unfinished, and just a bit off. As much as I love all aspects of makeup I tend to spend a lot of time tweaking and perfecting my complexion because of how important it is to the makeup look as a whole.

Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate | Review

When it comes to foundations you can totally count me in on giving it a whirl if it's full coverage and matte. Even though I love a good glow, as an combo/oily skinned girl I know that glow has to be strategically placed and that matte finish foundations usually wear a lot better on me. It's the way of my world and I totally accept that fact; not that it really bothers me because I like a matte finish too. The key to makeup is all about finding what works best on your skin type; it's a science I've come to know pretty well.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation | Review

I'm not going to lie Too Faced isn't a brand that I have experimented with too much in the past. I obviously own their notorious Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and one of their Melted Lipsticks but, other than that my collection in this department is a little dry. Not to say that I don't like this brand because it's not the case, it just hasn't captured me enough until this point. Then I heard so many amazing things about this foundation and you know me, I'm always up for trying a new foundation especially if it promises to give me weightless medium to full cover.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD | Review

Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation has been my go to foundation since I stepped into the high end beauty world. It's been my most repurchased foundation of all time and no matter how many times I have strayed away I have always came back. With that being said ever since I heard that they were discontinuing the HD Foundation and replacing it with the Ultra HD I have been both excited and terrified. Excited because who doesn't like an upgrade but terrified because holy hell what if it sucks and I can never repurchase my beloved foundation ever again - a clearly serious emotional dilemma. Sure, if it came down to it I could find another foundation to take up my number one spot but, I'd be really butthurt about it. Fortunately, earlier this month I was able to put all my worries  to rest.

A Few New Drugstore Buys

I feel like I haven't been picking up many makeup products from the drugstore recently. As soon as I came to this realization I got an itch to try out a few new drugstore products I had been hearing about. Armed with a mission and zero willpower to turn down an interesting beauty product I waltzed into Target leaving with a few more things than I had originally planned. I'm slightly ashamed of my weakness but also proud I didn't do more damage. When something looks new and interesting you can't just leave it behind, right?!

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation | Review

Recently I decided to switch up my foundation routine, branch out, and try a new line just for fun and to see what I was missing out on in the world. I tried out a few different products they were all hit or miss but then I decided to try out some Laura Mercer. I always heard tons of hype around Laura Mercier's Silk Creme foundation and since the new formula had just come out I figured I would give it a shot. I'm always a hop, skip, and a jump behind the hype but, always interested none the less.

Friday Favorites | The Laura Mercier Complexion

I've recently made a little switch up in my complexion products just to try something new and all I have to say is that I'm in love. The new Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation (full review coming soon) and the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder are a match made in makeup heaven.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation | Review

L'Oreal recently came out with the Infallible Pro-Matte line that includes foundations, pressed powders, matte lipglosses, and a setting spray. I was pretty excited about this line since I have oilier skin and it is typically quite a struggle for me to stay matte throughout the day but, I'm sure you know this by now because I tend to complain about it a lot. I picked up the foundation and the setting spray. The L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte is on the slightly more pricey side for the drugstore (the foundation $15 in L'Oreal's website.)

New Year's Party Makeup Must Haves

It's New Year's Eve and that means by tonight most of you will be hanging out with friends, kissing the bottle, and if you're lucky kissing a special someone at midnight. Tonight can be a very special celebration with time to reminisce and look forward to the fresh year ahead. With that in mind, I've put a list of makeup must haves for tonight that will make your night and you sparkle just a little more.

BareMinerals BareSkin Foundation | Review

I recently aquired the fairly new BareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation and I really wanted to try it. This foundation is (as the name would suggest) a fluid serum like mineral foundation made to correct skin tone and brighten your complexion. It is made without oils, parabens fragrance, and silicone. The foundation is intended to work for all skin types and tones. It is also dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. It has a natural satin like finish and the coverage varies depending on how much you apply. Since it is like a serum you only need to use a few drops on the face perfecting brush in order to cover your whole face. When you're applying this foundation it instantly goes on smoothly and seamlessly blends into the skin. All of this sounds pretty amazing, right? Well you're wrong but, you're right in theory.

Makeup Forever HD Foundation Review

The makeup Forever HD foundation has been one of my high-end Holy Grail foundations ever since high school. Out of all the foundations I have ever tried this is the only one that I have repurchased the world over. If I saved all of the empty foundation bottles I could probably build myself the most beautiful makeup castle the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, I have discarded all of the old bottles so for now I suppose I will remain a commoner.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

Hello, Loves! So I really can't pass up any product that promises a nice all day matte finish. Since I have oily skin matte is definitely a must when it comes to foundations. I have a serious fear of any foundation that might make me look like a shiny disco ball by the end of the day. So last week when I saw this Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation at the drugstore I knew I had to try it. I know it's been out for a little while now but, for whatever reason I never really got around to picking it up. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is one of my holy grail products. I usually carry the powder with me everywhere I go for throughout the day touch-ups. With that being said I had pretty high hopes for this product and it definitely lived up to every single one.
