Milk Makeup Blur Foundation | Review

I've really been into BB creams and sheer to medium coverage foundations for the past few months so I was pretty surprised when I tried out the new full coverage Blur Foundation from Milk Makeup and totally fell in love with it. OKAY, I'm not really shocked because I love the Milk Makeup brand but, I am surprised that I've been so obsessed with it, constantly grabbing for it, considering the fact that I've been really embracing my freckles and letting them breathe. 

Sephora PRO Palettes Warm, Cool, & Editorial | A Review

I've been sitting on this post for a couple weeks now and it's really overdue. Sephora's PRO team has created three pro eyeshadow palettes that have just recently launched at Sephora. Kat Don D Beauty just launched their cult classic chestnut rose lip shade 'Lolita' as a dual use eyeshadow & blush. Encased in their classic Metal Crush eyeshadow packaging this dual use product is simply heavenly. I virtually live in monochromatic tones and shades of red so as soon as this product launched online I scooped it right up because I knew it was going to fit right into my everyday makeup routine in some way, shape, or form.

SugarPill Pumpkin Spice Eyeshadow & Liquid Lipstick | Review

For someone who doesn't drink Pumpkin Spice coffee I was more than ready to jump all over SugarPill's newest product launch - the Pumpkin Spice Eyeshadow and Liquid Lipstick. Beautiful metallic coppers with a golden glitter blend, there is no way I could say no. These colors just fit so well with my warm toned makeup palette I couldn't resist myself. As soon as I saw the launch I knew it was meant to be. I guess if I can't be basic in the coffee department I can at least unleash my inner basic bitch with some Pumpkin Spice themed makeup. 

Black Label Cosmetics Liquid Lips | New Brand New Love

Recently, a new brand called Black Label Cosmetics created their first products - three gorgeous liquid lipstick shades. I love supporting indie makeup brands. I have found that they're often bred by some of the most passionate and lovely people, who put forth everything that they have to create amazing products and hopefully make a name for themselves within the ever so competitive cosmetics world. Supporting local and small businesses are pretty key in my opinion and can lead you to finding products and hidden gems you never would be able to find on the mass market.

Getting Perfectly Pouty with Kaplan MD

Is it strange that I really like lip plumpers even though I already have full lips? -Because I really do. I'm not really one for lip fillers on myself because once I used a friend's lip plumping device and holy hell did I look crazy with super full lips. I still like a little extra poutiness though so I'm always on the hunt for a good lip plumper to just kick up the fullness a bit. I've tried a lot of different ones in the past and I've found my favorite ones are treatments made to give instant fullness and promote fuller lips over time. Not only does it appeal to my love of skincare but I'm also not really a fan of lip plumping glosses. I find the glosses limit me to only wearing that product for the day whereas when I'm using a treatment I can apply whatever lip product I want either over it or after it.

From the beginning of my blog reading adventures I've always followed many Britain based bloggers and almost every one of them would constantly rant and rave about how much they loved Soap & Glory's One Heck of A Blot Powder. Marvelous Lashes | Review

I haven't gone a day without polishing off a makeup look with lashes in God knows how long. Lash obsessed is probably an understatement at this point and honestly I don't feel bad about it. Lashes always take looks to the next level and honestly 9 times out of 10 when a look feels like it's missing something it's probably a pair of lashes. Don't really feel like doing something crazy on the eyes? - Just slap on some lashes. Messed up your shadow a little? - It's okay, just slap on some big lashes to cover it. Need to run away from your problems? - Put on the biggest lashes you can find and use them to fly away. Needless to say lashes are the answer to all of life's problems.

I've been buying more false lashes than lipsticks lately which is pretty interesting to me considering the fact that I used to buy new lipsticks just about every week. Sometimes the tides change but they usually come back around. I was desperately missing some new lip products in my life so when Colourpop recently restocked their Ultra Metallic Lip products once again I figured I would give them a good run.

I can't say that I've dabbled much in Hourglass's beauty products. I own two or three pieces from their line but, that's about it despite the fact that the brand definitely has some cult favorite beauty products in it. Maybe one day I'll use some of those products on myself but as for now I'm still just getting myself acquainted.

When it comes to contouring everyone has their own style and technique. Some people like creams, others like powders, or even both. I'm a both kind of girl because when it comes to makeup a lot of my style and technique comes from wanting to create longevity and for me I've found layering certain products has really helped me to achieve that result. Thin sheer layers is key to flawless makeup ladies and gents - even when you're looking for full coverage results. 

I never want my makeup to look super heavy but I want it to have a lot of definition. No, my makeup is rarely natural but I like to have some natural definition and that's to say I want my bronzer to look like it's sitting on top of a naturally defined cheekbone which God knows I don't particularly have at all.

I'm sure I'm just like the rest of the beauty community when I say never in a million years did I think that eyebrows would be extremely important to me. Honestly, I think I was a little late to the game because it wasn't until college that I even touched them. Fortunately for me I was blessed with big-ol caterpillar brows that I was unmercifully teased for all throughout elementary school. In college I plucked them to the verge of nonexistence. Eventually I was intervened and I let them grow back in and thank God that they did because I can now admit I looked insane. I can't say they have ever been exactly the same but, man they are pretty damn coarse and bushy.

As many times as I tell myself I need to back away from buying any more warm toned palettes I do it anyway so I don't even know why I bother telling myself "no" anymore since I clearly do not listen. When the palette launched on Sephora.com I bought it emediately without even thinking twice about it. Actually I don't think I thought at all it was like a reflex. I woke up, saw the notification in my email, added to my cart, bought it, and then texted my friend about it to remind her that I have zero self-control.

Milk Makeup Eye Vinyl | First Impression & Review

The whole smokey wet/dewy eye look has been a staple in editorial and runway makeup for quite some time now but, it's never been considered a very wearable look because overtime the oils in the product will break down and cause creasing and bleeding creating quite a mess. No one wants to deal with the clean up but sometimes you have to sacrifice a little for your art.

Three cheers for new eyebrow products! Over the past few months I've been letting my eyebrows grow out into their naturally bush-tastic glory. It wasn't my original intention but, the last lady to thread my eyebrows borderline destroyed them and I've been looking very unsymmetrical for quite sometime as I've waited for the right brow to refill the bottom of itself. It's been about 4-5 months since I've gotten my brows done but, we are finally almost back in business. Since my eyebrows are really full now I've had to be careful and tweak my eyebrow routine in order to make sure that they don't come off looking too intense when I fill them in. This obviously means trying new products (because I always need a good excuse to buy more makeup.)

Everyone and their mother has color correctors now. You can't be in drug stores or high-end boutiques or shops without seeing at least one color corrector from every brand and I have to say they're getting pretty creative with it. There's liquids, creams, and primers but there's also infusion drops, sticks, and powders compiled in every style imaginable. No brand has been able to help itself from creating a new product or remarketing an old favorite.

TrèStiQue | Concealer Crayon, Matte Lip Pencil, & Brow Pencil

I love my beauty routine but I constantly look for new products that may make my mornings even better. I can't help it, there's just always so many new fun and exciting brands and products I really don't know how some people can use the same products for 10-20+ years. Seriously, it blows my mind because personally as soon as I see something new I can't contain myself and I feel like I have to AT LEAST swatch it if not give it a true whirl.
